Having reached the goal of 5 Crowns in British Photographic Exhibitions I thought I would try my hand in International Exhibitions. I entered my first International exhibition in Sep 2021 and after 5 years I have entered 153 in 44 different countries.
In July 2023 I achieved the first level of distinction (Artiste) with the Federation Internationale de l’Art Photographique (FIAP) for 40 acceptances from 15 images in 8 different countries. One year later I achieved the next level of distinction (Excellence) with FIAP for 250 acceptances from 50 images in 20 different countries. Then in 2025 I gained my EFIAP bronze, which required a further 200 acceptances from 100 new images.
At the beginning of 2026 FIAP revised their rules for distinctions, images used for EFIAP were once again eligible to be used for the higher levels and the numbers of acceptances required for each level were changed. In July 2026 I gained my EFIAP silver, which requires a total of 600 acceptances from 130 images in 30 countries. Up to gaining EFIAP/s I have gained 90 awards from the 56 images shown below. In addition I have gained 3 FIAP blue badges, which are given to the best author in a single salon.
In June 2022 I joined the Photographic Society of America (PSA) and also apply for their distinctions based on acceptances in international exhibitions. So far I have gained the second level of Recognition of Photographic Achievement (Proficiency) for 288 acceptances from 96 images.
